Steve Moss
Steve received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Steve is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs as well as the NC Association of CPAs. Steve is a recipient of the Certificate of Educational Achievement in Tax Planning and Advising for Closely-Held Businesses awarded by the American Institute of CPAs. Governor James Martin appointed Steve to the NC State Board of CPA Examiners for two terms, a total of six years; five of which he also served as President of the Board and Chairman of the Professional Standards Committee.
Formerly a certified Scaling Up Coach (2014-2025), Steve leverages over a decade of experience with the framework to help businesses grow with focus and alignment.
Steve has been a speaker at various annual meetings, including the National Association of Convenience Stores, the NC Association of School Business Officers, and the NC Association of CPAs. Steve has served as an independent director of the Hatteras Funds, a family of SEC-registered investment funds, since its inception in 2003.

Steve loves his wife Kim and their family (4 kids and 8 grandkids). He enjoys Nordic walking or Peloton workouts. He loves to read and research anything curious. Steve enjoys smoking brisket, Texas-style, on a Cookshack smoker. They have a small wine collection and love food paired with wine. He will tell you he and his wife are unabashedly red wine snobs. He also enjoys spending time at the beach, watching movies, listening to music, appreciating the sound of a finely tuned V-8 engine, and the loyal companionship of his dogs.
