September 2015 tax compliance calendar

As an individual or business, it is your responsibility to be aware of and to meet your tax filing/reporting deadlines. This calendar summarizes important tax reporting and filing data for individuals, businesses and other taxpayers for the month of September 2015.

September 2
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates August 26-28.

September 4
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates August 29 –September 1.

September 10
Employees who work for tips. Employees who received $20 or more in tips during August must report them to their employer using Form 4070.
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 2–4.

September 11
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 5-8.

September 15
Individuals. Individuals who do not pay tax through withholding deposit the third installment of estimated tax for 2015.Corporations. Corporations deposit the third installment of estimated tax for 2015.
Corporations. Corporations and S corporations that obtained 6-month extensions file their 2014 Form 1120 or 1120S and pay tax due.
Partnerships. Partnerships that obtained 5-month extensions file their 2014 Form 1065.

September 16
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll date September 9–11.

September 18
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 12–15.

September 23
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 16–18.

September 25
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 19–22.

September 30
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 23–25.

October 2
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 26–29.

October 3
Employers. Semi-weekly depositors must deposit employment taxes for payroll dates September 27–30.
